Saturday saw our last two teams Ballymoney United and St James Swifts lose in the CAFA Steel & Sons Cup plus Cookstown Youth losing by the odd goal in three in the Mid-Ulster Bob Radcliffe Cup.

Saturday 7th October will see Desertmartin v Maiden City and Newbuildings United v Coleraine Reserves meet in the quarter finals of the North-West Craig Memorial Cup

Saturday will also see Six Junior Teams competing in the IFA junior Cup 2nd Round.

INTERMEDIATE

LEAGUE

CHIMNEY CORNER 4 - 2 BALLYNURE OB

The first instance in the game was Ballynure having a man sent off on the 23rd minute this being followed by Leon Carley scoring for the corner on the 24th minute. Ballynure got back level when Mark Leckey scored on the 45th minute. The Corner went back in front after Jack Campbell scored on the 53rd minute followed by Joshua Logan scoring on the 55th minute. Marc Campbell got a goal back for Ballynure on the 65th minute then in the 91st minute Alexander Lynas scored sealing the win for Corner.

DESERTMARTIN 3 - 1 DONEGAL CELTIC

Celtic went in front after Ryan McAuley scored on the 19th minute then saw David Dripps equalise for the Martins on the 24th minute. David Dripps scored again on the 52nd minute putting the Martins ahead followed by Celtic having a man sent off on the 60th minute, Time was then running out when Jonathan McLean scored on the 85th minute giving the Martin full points from the game.

WELLINGTON REC 0 - 6 MAIDEN CITY

City went in front after Gary McFadden scored on the 8th minute then got a second goal score by Conor Moore on the 21st minute. City went further in front after Bobby Sweeney scored on the 41st minute. Rec had a man sent off on the 53rd minute and City increased their lead with Ryan McCaul converting the resulting penalty kick on the 54th minute. Rec had a second man sent off on the 63rd minute followed by Dylan Mooney and Makhtar Boussria scoring for City on the 75th and 86th minutes.

GLEBE RANGERS 0 - 3 NEWTOWNE

Both teams had a chance or two to score during the first half, but no goals were scored. The Visitors went in front after Connor Logue scored on the 61st minute and this goal separated the teams until Cormac Quigley and Daniel Boyke scored for Newtowne on the 90th and 94th minutes.

NEWBUILDINGS UNITED 0 - 3 STRABANE ATHLETIC

The Athletic got off to a blistering start with Dean O’Donnell and Jonathan Robb scoring on the 3rd and 9th minutes. After this the game settled down until Daniel Doran scored a third goal for the Athletic on the 94th minute.

RATHCOOLE 4 - 0 BELFAST CELTIC

This game came to life after Celtic conceded an own goal on the 61st minute then Rathcoole went two goals ahead after Kai Hefferson scored on the 63rd minute followed by Wesley Patterson scoring on the 69th minute. Celtic tried hard to get back in the game, but it was Rathcoole who scored through David Kernohan on the 89th minute.

DUNLOY 2 - 0 WAKEHURST

This was a closely contested game throughout the entire ninety 90 minutes. Dunloy went in front after Martin Kane scored on the 22nd minute. Wakehurst tried hard for the equaliser, but this score remained until Conal McGothingan scored a second goal for Dunloy on the 90th minute.

BELFAST ATHLETIC 2 - 1 DESERTMARTIN SWIFTS

The Swifts went in front after Dylan Wilson scored on the 54th minute then saw Martin Reilly scored a brace of goals on the 63rd and 72nd minute to win the game for the Athletic.

KILLYMOON RANGERS 5 - 0 COOKSTOWN OLYMPIC

The Moon went two goals in front scored by Eoin Gallagher 17th and Richard Donaghy 20th minutes. No more goals were scored until Richard Donaghy scored again on the 79th minute. Time was running out when Matthew McMenemy scored on the 81st minute and Rihcard Donaghy on the 85th minute.

MALONEYS 3 - 1 3rd BALLYCLARE OB

The Old Boys went in front after Jack Adams scored on the 6th minute. Maloneys hit back with Curtis McDowell scoring on the 39th minute then had a man sent off on the 43rd minute. Maloneys went in front after Curtis Marshall scored on the 65th minute and ensured the win when Jackson Crymble scored on the 79th minute.

GREENCASTLE ROVERS 8 - 1 INSPIRED COMMUNITY

Greencastle scored their Eight goals in the first half scored by Ryan McClory 12th, 23rd, 39th, Chris Begley 26th, Mark Kelly 35th, Mark Tutin 37th, Jordan Okane 43rd and 45th minutes. It was then late in the game when McGerald Woha scored for Inspired.

BALLYNURE OB ‘B’ 3 - 2 AHOGHILL THISTLE DEV

The Thistle went in front after Lewis McDonald scored on the 17th minute and then went two goals clear after scored on the 53rd minute. Ballynure had a man sent off on the 66th minute then with the game in the last minutes scored three goals through Connor-Lee Allen 83rd and Terry Lyness 90th and 94th minutes to win the game.

GRANGE RANGERS 2 - 5 NEWINGTON RANGERS

Grange went in front after Craig Moore scored on the 7th minute then saw Darren Tennant equalise on the 9th minute. Jason Hawthorne scored for Newington on the 25th and 51st minute followed by Darren Tennant on the 66th and Lindasy Carroll on the 88th minutes. Time was almost up when Matthew Forsythe scored for Grange on the 92nd minute.

DONEGAL CELTIC RES 6 - 1 WELLINGTON REC II

Celtic went two goals clear scored by Caoimhan Mulvenna and Sean McAteer on the 25th and 30th minutes. Jamie Magill pulled a goal back on the 42nd minute then goals scored by Aaron Hughes 67th and 75th, Sean McAteer 83rd and Daire McManus 85th minutes completed the scoring.

BELFAST CELTIC RES 2 - 2 NORTH BELFAST UNITED

Celtic took a two goals lead with goals scored by Ciaran McKee and Niall Crawford on the 20th and 29th minutes. Nathan Mullan pulled a goal back for United on the 38th minute and were back to claim a point from the game after Sail McVeigh scored on the 75th minute.

NORTH BALLYMENA RGS 3 - 7 HIGHTOWN ATHLETIC

Rangers went in front after Corey McDowell scored on the 1st minute then fell behind to a brace scored by Oran Devlin on the 13th and 38th minutes. Corey McDowell scored his second goal on the 44th minute but another brace of goals score by Oran Devlin on the 55th and 61st minute widened the gap. David Johnston pulled a goal back for Rangers on the 70th minute but Jordan Byrne replied for Athletic with a brace of goals on the 80th and 84th minutes. The black mark in the game was both teams had man sent off before the final whistle.
