Dunloy, Newbuildings United and Strabane Athletic are through to the 4th Round of the IFA Intermediate Cup but Unfortunately Wakehurst lost out to Dunloy. Wellington Rec game on Saturday was called off due to a water- logged pitch at the showground and will now be played next Saturday.

We are hoping the weather is much kinder on Saturday 27th and we get all the scheduled games played.

GROUP Three

COOKSTOWN YOUTH 2 - 2 DESERTMARTIN

The Martins went in front after Connor Stewart scored on the 41st minute then Lee Glasgow equalised for the Youth on the 48th minute. Time was beginning to run down when Jordan Hassan scored for the Martins on the 81st minute but back came the Youth with Curtis Hassan scoring the equaliser on the 93rd minute.

IFA INTERMEDIATE CUP 3rd ROUND

WAKHURST 2 - 3 (aet) DUNLOY

Both teams played it very tight at the start then Connor Doherty put Wakehurst in front on the 31st minute this goal separating the teams at half-time. The second half saw Wakehurst keeping their one goa lead until Karl Fitzpatrick equalised for Dunloy on the 89th minute. Extra Time was introduced then two goals scored by Michael O’Mullan and Deaglen Smith on the 97th and 100th minutes saw Dunloy in front. Wakehurst went all out to get back in the game when Jason Paul scored on the 108th minute but Dunloy held out for the win.

EAST BELFAST 1 - 2 STRABANE ATHLETIC

Strabane travelled to the Northern Amateur Premier Division League leaders and came away with a good win in a keenly contested game. Strabane went in front after Kelvin Nelson scored on the 61st minute and held this lead until Daryl Evans equalised for East on the 86th minute. Strabane replied to this with Daniel Doran scoring on the 89th minute to claim the win and into the hat for the 4th Round Draw.

HOLYWOOD 0 - 1 NEWBUILDINGS UNITED

Both teams tended to cancel each other out in mid-field and at half-time no goals had been scored. Things changed in the second half with Matthew Pierce scoring on the 65th minute putting the Newbuildings in front. After this Newbuildings kept it tight at the back and go into the hat for the 4th Round Draw.

JUNIOR DIVISIONS

ONE

BELFAST ATHLETIC 5 - 2 MALONEYS

Maloneys went in front after Ryan Stewart scored on the 14th minute and this goal separated the teams until Martin Reilly scored for the Athletic on the 51st minute. The Athletic went in front when Sean Burns scored on the 68th minute followed by Stephen Bell equalising on the 74th minute. Maloneys had man sent off on the 80th minute then goals scored by Martin Reilly on the 83rd, 85th Penalty and 89th minutes won the game for the Athletic.

DESERTMARTIN SWIFTS 1 - 3 INSPIRED COMMUNITY

The Swifts went in front after Matthew Thom scored on the 30th minute followed by Donnell Bosakanikabata equalising on the 42nd minute. Community scored two more goals through Cyril Bologo 56th minute and Ayub Jama 82nd minute to take all three points.

GREENCASTLE ROVERS 2 - 2 KILLYMOON RANGERS

Rangers went tow goals ahead scored by Richard Donaghy on the 14th and 42nd minutes. Rovers got a goal back after Joseph Meaney scored on the 50th minute then had a man sent off on the 57th minute. Time was then running out when Joseph Meaney scored his second goal on the 87th minute.

RATHCOOLE RESERVES 4 - 1 3rd BALLYCLARE OB B

Rathcoole went in front after Kai Hefferson scored on the 19th minute and then added his second goal on the 50th minute. Ballyclare got a goal back on the 53rd minute to narrow the deficit. Rathcoole went on to score two more goals through Harry Bassett 82nd and Kai Hefferson 93rd minutes.

COOKSTOWN OLYMPIC 1 - 1 GREENISLAND DEV

No goals were scored before half-time though both teams had a man sent off on the 39th minute. Play was well into the second half when Owen Barrons scored on the 70th minute putting the Islanders ahead then on the 72nd minute the Olympic got back level after Connor Donnelly scored.

Sofia Farmer did not fulfil Fixture.

TWO

DONEGAL CELTIC RES 8 - 2 AHOGHILL THISTLE DEV

Celtic took a five-goal lead with goals scored by Ryan Burns 14th, Michael McClory 15th, Michael Gallagher 21st, Ryan Burns 47th and James McHugh 57th minutes. Celtic then had man sent off on the 64th minute and Jamie Willighan converted a penalty for Thistle at the same time. Thistle got a second goal scored by Jamie Willighan on the 68th minute then with time running out Micheal Gallager and Michael McCleary scored for Celtic on the 82nd and 94th minutes.

HIGHTOWN ATHLETIC 1 1 LOUGHSIDE

Loughside went in front after Samuel McCormick scored on the 32nd minute and this goal separated the teams at half-time. The Athletic hit back with Jordan Byrne scoring on the 50th minute which saw the teams share the points at the end of the game.

RED STAR 3 - 1 NEWINGTON RANGERS

The Star took an early lead after Andrew Hall scored on the 1st minute then followed with his second goal on the 11th minute. Rangers got a goal back after Andrew Kerr scored on the 18th minute and this score remained at half-time. Andrew Hall completed his hat-trick on the 63rd minute which was the final goal in the game.
