Shortage of Junior Referees again cost us to have to cancel games on Saturday two games fell victim to this.

INTERMEDIATE LEAGUE

GROUP A

CRAWFORD CUP

GROUP One

BELFAST CELTIC 3 - 2 BALLYMONEY UNITED

Ballymoney went in front after Reede Watton scored on the 7th minute then had man sent off on the 56th minute. Ballymoney through an OG on the 68th minute went two goals in front. Celtic hit back with Anthony Nelson scoring on the 78th minute then won the game with goals scored by Sean Hawkins 80th and Shane McKernan 86th minutes.

MAIDEN CITY 3 - 0 CHIMNEY CORNER

City went in front after David O’Brian scored on the 29th minute and this goal separated the teams until he scored his second goal on the 79th minute. Time was almost up when George Campbell scored number three for City on the 88th minute.

GROUP Two

RATHCOOLE 2 - 0 BRANTWOOD

No goals were scored by either team in the first-half. Things changed in the second half with Adam Doyle scoring for Rathcoole on the 60th minute. Rathcoole then sealed the win after Kyle Leighton scored their second goal on the 81st minute.

GLEBE RANGERS 1 - 4 NEWBUILDINGS UNITED

The Buildings went in front after Matthew Peoples scored on the 8th minute followed by Jack McClelland scoring their second goal on the 13th minute. Buildings went three in front after Lorcan Toner scored on the 15th minute and this score remained until Darren Robb scored a fourth for Buildings on the 77th minute. Glebe to their credit never gave up getting a goal back when Scotty Douglas scored on the 85th minute.

DONEGAL CELTIC 0 - 3 NEWTOWNE

No goals were scoored during the first-half in this game then a brace scored by Peter Boyle on the 56th and 67th minutes saw Newtowne two goals clear. Peter Boyle then completed his hat-trick on the 77th minute sealing the win for Newtowne.

DESERTMARTIN 0 - 0 WAKEHURST

Both these teams have shown in previous game how to score goals but on Saturday both drew blanks in a very close game.

GROUP Four

WELLINGTON REC 3 - 3 St JAMES SWIFTS

The first half saw the Swifts the more dominant team and at half-time led by goals scored by Ciaran Hylands 12th, Conal Burns 24th and Sean Donnelly 41st minutes. Thes second half saw Wellington back in the game after Graham Ervine scored on the 48th minute followed by Alfie Reid on the 53rd minute. After this Wellington went all-out for the equaliser that came when Gary Workman scored on the 92nd minute.

DUNLOY 0 - 1 STRABANE ATHLETIC

There was little to chooses between the two teams and at the end it was a goal scored by Daniel Doran on the 38th minute that settled the scoreline.

JUNIOR DIVISIONS

ONE

3rd BALLYCLARE OB 1 - 3 DESERTMARTIN SWIFTS

The swifts went in front after Matthew Scott scored on the 10th minute then Joel O’Neil equalised for Ballyclare on the 18th minute. The Swifts went in front again after Gary Brown scored on the 33rd minute followed by Matthew Smyth scoring a third goal on the 48th minute to seal the win.

INSPIRED COMMUNITY 4 - 2 St JAMES SWIFTS RES

Inspired went in front after Malam Sanha scored on the 5th minute then followed with his second goal on the 36th minute. Alan Harvey made it three nil on the 37th minute before Niall Peoples got a gal back for the Swifts on the 63rd minute. Inspired restored their three-goal lead after Jordan Pires scored on the 76th minute then with time running down Caoinhin Norney scored for the Swifts on the 86th minute.

MALONEYS 2 - 6 RATHCOOLE RESERVES

An OG on the 10th minute saw Rathcoole in front and this score remained at half-time. Maloneys got back level when Gareth Curlett scored on the 48th minute followed by Ian Hunter scoring for Rathcoole on the 63rd minute. Maloneys got back level after Josh McIlroy scored on the 67th minute but then had man sent off on the 69th minute. Rathcoole then went two goals clear scored by Joel Gower 71st and Ian Hunter 76th minutes. Josh McIlroy scored his second goal on the 87th minute but goals scored by Taylor Marks 92nd and David Moore 94th minutes secured the win for Rathcoole.

TWO

LOUGHSIDE 6 - 1 BALLYCLARE NORTH END

Loughside went in front after Lee Hendry scored on the 1st minute then were two up after Jordan Carruthers scored on the 17thmnute. North End got a goal back after William Sharkey scored on the 49th minute. After this Loughside scored another Four goals through Stuart Moore 52nd, Calum Mitchell 81st, Lee Hendry 87th and Chris Torrens 93rd minutes.

RED STAR 1 - 6 DONEGAL CELTIC RES

Goals scored by Michael Gallagher 22nd and James McHugh 37th minute saw Celtic two goals in front. The Star got back into the game after Bryan McAllister scored on the 60th minute. Celtic went on to score four more goals through Michael Gallagher 65th, Michael McCleary 73rd, Cillian McNally 79th and Anthony Philpott 88th to complete the scoring before the Star had man sent off n the 90th minute.

GREENCASTLE ROVERS II 4 - 0 WELLINGTON REC II

HIGHTOWN ATHLETIC 3 - 2 BELFAST CELTIC RES

The Athletic went in front after Aaron McKeown scored on the 1st minute. Celtic came back to equalise after Ciaran McKee sored on the 17th minute then went ahead after Daniel Maguire converted a penalty on the 26th minute. Play progressed into the 79th minute when Martin Doherty scored for the Athletic who got the winning goal when Michael McIlhenny scored on the 90th minute.

NEWINGTON RANGERS 4 - 2 GRANGE RANGERS

Newington went in front after Lewis Carroll scored on the 9th minute then were two in front after Gareth McConnell scored on the 19th minute. Grange got a goal back after Paul Martin scored on the 44th minute before Jason Hawthorne scored for Newington on the 71st minute. Grange got a second goal when Darren Hamilton scored on the 80th minute then with time almost up Lewis Carroll scored a fourth goal for Newington on the 93rd minute.

AHOGHILL THISTLE DEV 1 - 3 BALLYNURE OB ‘B’

Ballynure went in front after Mark Leckey scored on the 16th minute and this score remained at half-time. The Thistle got back level after Caydon Erwin scored on the 52nd minute before Jay Williamson-Black scored for Ballynure on the 64th minute. Ballynure got a third goal scored by Mark Montgomery to secure the win on the 95th minute.

North Ballymena Rangers did not travel to fulfil Fixture

MID-ULSTER SHIELD QUARTER FINAL

KILLYMOON RANGERS 3 - 3 (aet) ROSSOWEN

The Rangers went in front after James Little scored on the 6th minute and were Two in front after Lee Frazer scored on the 39th minute. The Visitors got a ga back when Micheal Ireland scored on the 51st minute. The Rangers then had man sent off on the 56th minute and the visitors had a man off on the 86th minute. Shaun Parr equalised for the visitors on the 97th minute taking the game to extra time. The Rangers went in front again after Matthew McMenemy scored on the 102nd minute only to see Calum Arnett equalise on the 106th minute taking the game to penalties which Rossowen win 5-4
