With the improvement in the weather no games were lost on Saturday due to ground conditions.

On the minus front we lost two games due to a shortage of Junior Referees.

One game was lost due to a team not fulfilling a fixture with the league secretary being notified at 11.00am. If this would have been known on Friday, the referee allocated to this game could have covered one of the games off due to having No Referee available.

INTERMEDIATE

LEAGUE

GROUP A

CHIMNEY CORNER 0 - 9 DONEGAL CELTIC

Celtic took a four nil half-time lead with goals scored by Brandan Glackin 12th and 40th minutes and Philip McPeake 20th and 27th minutes. Celtic went on to score five more goals through Odhran Craig 63rd, Philip McPeake 89th and a hat-trick from James Mullan 54th, 66, and 82nd minutes.

DESERTMARTIN 1 - 3 MAIDEN CITY

The Martins went in front after Jonathan McLean scored on the 5th minute and held this lead until Connor Moore scored for City on the 44th minute. City came back with two goals scored by Stephen Duffy 54th and Jack Millar 86th minutes to take the win.

GROUP B

BRANTWOOD 2 - 5 STRABANE ATHLETIC

Brantwood went in front after Jack Rainey scored on the 6th minute. Strabane hit back with Warner Mullan scoring a hat-trick on the 8th, 27th and 29th minutes, Jack Rainey scored his second goal on the 47th minute then goals from Aaron O’Hagan 67th and Fionn Faherty 92nd minutes sealed the win.

GROUP One

St JAMES SWIFTS 0 - 2 BELFAST CELTIC

There was little to choose between the teams at half-time other than the goal scored by Liam Markey on the 32nd minute putting Celtic in front. St James then had man sent off on the 65th minute this being followed by Celtics second goal cored by Anthoney Nelson on the 70th minute.

GROUP Four

GLEBE RANGERS 0 - 1 BALLYMONEY UNITED

Glebe went down a man having a player sent off on the 15th minute and at half-time a goal scored by Ciaran McLaughlin on the 32nd minute saw the Toon in front. Thes second half saw Glebe go all out for the equaliser, but the toon held firm for the win.

DUNLOY 1 - 1 COOKSTOWN YOUTH

Dunloy took an early lead after Conan McAuley scored on the 4th minute then saw Steven Arell equalised for the Youth on the 29th minute this score remaining at half-time, Dunloy had a man sent off on the 65th minute but at the end it was point to each team.

GROUP Two

NEWBUILDINGS UNITED 2 - 0 RATHCOOLE

This was a game where both teams played it very tight in mid-field thus no goals had been scored at half-time. The second half followed a similar pattern until Matthew Pierce scored for the buildings on the 70th minute. Rathcoole had to go for goals but got caught when Matthew Pierce scored his second goal on the 81st minute sealing the win.

NEWTOWNE 2 - 2 WAKEHURST

Newtowne took an early lead in the game after Peter Boyle scored on the 18th minute this goal separating the teams at half-time. Wakehurst got back level after Jason Paul scored on the 70th minute followed by James McAleese scoring for Newtowne on the 80th minute. Wakehurst never gave up the chase getting their reward when Mark Waddel scored the equaliser on the 94th minute.

IFA INTERMEDIATE CUP 3rd ROUND

BALLYMENA UNITED RES 3 - 2 (aet) WELLINGTON REC

The first goal in the game went to the Reserves after Cathair Friel scored on the 45th minute. The Reserves went two in front after Ben Mallon scored on the 51st minute before Ciaran Magill pulled a goal back for the Rec on the 68th minute. The Rec then got level after Ryan Balmer scored on the 73rd minute this goal taking the game into extra-time. Only one goal was scored by Logan McWilliams on the 98th minute taking the Reserves into the Fourth Round.

JUNIOR DIVISIONS

ONE

RATHCOOLE RESERVES 4 - 2 DESERTMARTIN SWIFTS

The Martin went in front after David Lennox scored on the 2nd minute. Rathcoole were level after Harry Bassett scored on the 10th minute and this score remained until Pater Evans put the Martins ahead on the 45th minute. Rathcoole hit back with three goals scored by David Moore 51st, Mark Jeffers 58th and Robert Watterson 63rd minutes to collect the Points.

INSPIRED COMMUNITY 2 - 3 GREENCASTLE ROVERS

Inspired went in front after Ayub Jama scored on the 12th minute then Joseph Meaney equalised on the 16th minute. Rovers went in front after Joseph Meaney scored his second goal on the 70th minute. Inspired had a man sent off on the 86th minute then conceded a third goal scored by Christopher Graham on the 92nd minute. Inspired got a second goal scored by Abtidon Ali on the 94th minute.

KILLYMOON RANGERS 4 - 1 BELFAST ATHLETIC

Athletic went in front after Martin Reilly scored on the 10thminute then saw Matthew McMenemy equalise for Rangers on the 22nd Minute. Rangers went on front after Lee Frazer scored on the 27th minute then extended their lead after Lee Frazer scored on the 53rd minute. Time was almost up when Matthew McMenemy scored Rangers last goal on the 91st minute.

NORTH BALLYMENA RGS 3 - 5 BALLYCLARE NORTH END

North End went three goals in front scored by William Sharkey 17th, Steven Howe 32nd and Dylan Forsythe 40th minutes. Scott Wylie got a goal back for Rangers on the 49th minute before Ryan Johnston scored for North End on the 62nd minute. Scott Wylie scored his second goal on the 80th minute followed by Alex Haggan scoring for North End on the 85th minute. Time was almost up when Christopher Will sored for Rangers on the 86th minute.

BALLYNURE OB ‘B’ 6 - 1 NORTH BELFAST UNITED

The Nure went two goals ahead scored by Christopher Todd and Robert Watson on the 7th and 21st minutes. United got a goal back after Michael O’Neil scored on the 36th minute. The Nure went on to scored four more goals through Michael Duff 42nd, Ross Clarke 47th and Kyle Abernethy 68th and 72nd minutes.

WELLINGTON REC II 2 - 3 DONEGAL CELTIC RES

The Rec went in front after Riley Montgomery scored on the 12th minute. Celtic got level after Abe Ferreira scored on the 32nd minute. The Rec went two goals clear scored by Ryan Crossan 49th and Lewis Henry 72nd minutes. Time was almost up when Caoimhin Mulvenna scored a second goal for Celtic on the 90th minute.

BELFAST CELTIC RES 1 - 1 GRANGE RANGERS

No goals were scored at half-time in this game and it appeared this would remain until the final whistle. Celtic went in front after Cal Morton scored on the 79th minute and this score remained until Nathan Simmons scored the equaliser for Grange on the 92nd minute.

GREENCASTLE ROVERS II 3 2 RED STAR

The Star went in front after Lloyd Watters scored on the 16th minute and this goal separated the teams until Sean McKeown scored for the Rovers on the 48th minute. Rovers went in front after Sean McKeown scored his second goal on the 55th minute then saw Matthew McFaul equalise for the Star on the 78th minute. Time was almost up when Sean McKeown completed his hat-trick on the 87th minute giving Rovers the win.
