Saturday next is a big day for both Strabane Athletic and Newbuildings United when they meet Ballymacash Rangers and Queens University in the Quarter Finals of the IFA intermediate Cup.

Both teams will have to be on top form to progress to the semi-finals.

Group A

CHIMNEY CORNER 0 - 4 NEWTOWNE

Newtowne led at half-time by a goal scored by Daniel Boyle on the 28th minute. Newtowne went two up after Peter Boyle scored on the 55th minute followed by Daniel Boyle competing his hat-trick on the 58th and a penalty on the 62nd minutes.

DONEGAL CELTIC 1 - 3 MAIDEN CITY

The First goal in the game was scored by David O’Brien on the 37th minute putting City ahead. Celtic came back with Odhran Carig scoring on the 47th minute. Time was then running down when a brace of goals scored by Connor McGee 81st and Gary McFadden 89th minutes secured the points for City.

DESERTMARTIN 2 - 0 GLEBE RANGERS

A penalty converted by Jonathan McLean on the 37th minute saw the Martins in front at half-time. The Martins doubled their lead after James McGahan scored on the 52nd minute to take all three points.

WAKEHURST 0 - 1 DUNLOY

This was keenly contested game and at the end it was a goal cored by Karl Fitzpatrick that saw Dunloy take all three points,

Crawford Cup

Group 4

STRABANE ATHLETIC 3 - 0 St JAMES SWIFTS

Strabane took a two-goal lead after Warner Mullan scored a brace of goals on the 18th and 42nd minutes. A third goal scored by Conal Crawford on the 52nd minute secured Strabane a place in the quarterfinals.

O’Gorman Cup 1st Round

NEWBUILDINGS UNITED 5 - 2 BRANTWOOD

Goals scored by Matthew Lynch on the 3rd minute and a penalty by Matthew Pierce on the 43rd minute saw the Buildings in front at half-time. Samuel Dougherty made if three nil on the 62nd minute before Jack Rainey converted a penalty for Brantwood on the 70th minute. The Buildings got two more goals scored by Stephen Curry and Jack McClelland on the 80th and 83rd minute before Jack Rainey scored his second goal for Brantwood on the 96th minute.

McReynolds Cup Quarter Final

RATHCOOLE 1 - 2 COOKSTOWN YOUTH

Rathcoole went in front of this game then Mark Megarry equalised for the Youth. The game was heading for extra-time when Curtis Hassan scored the winning goal for the Youth on the 89th minute.

BALLYMONEY UNITED 1 - 2 WELLINGTON REC

The Rec went in front after Gary Workman scored on the 12th minute then Gerald Gillan equalised for Ballymoney on the 21st minute. The Rec went in front for a second time after Gary Workman scored his second goal on the 32nd minute and though they had man sent off on eh 69th minute they held on for the win.

COOKSTOWN OLYMPIC 0 - 2 GREENCASTLE ROVERS

A goal in each half scored by Michael Toland on the 37th minute and Sean McKeown on the 63rd minute secured the win for the Rovers.

GREENCASTLE ROVERS II 7 - 1 HIGHTOWN ATHLETIC

The Castle went three goals in front scored by Ryan Cleary 19th, Mark Tutin 34th and Kieran Maloney 49th minutes. Josh McKeown got a goal back for the Athletic on the 62nd minute. The Castle got four more goals scored by Michael Smyth 66th and 80th minutes and Mark Tutin completing his hat-trick on the 89th and a penalty on the 92nd minutes.

LOUGHSIDE 2 - 5 RED STAR

The star took a four-goal lead with goals scored by Darren Nelson 20th, Lloyd Watters 18th and 39th and Andy Hall 29th minutes. Loughside replied with goals scored by Mark McAuley 41st and Lee Hendry 47th minutes before Andy Hall completed the scoring with his second goal on the 63rd minute.

Canada Trophy 1st Round

WELLINGTON REC II 2 - 4 KILLYMOON RANGERS

An OG on the 8th minute saw Killymoon in front then Matthew Little equalised for the Rec on the 14th minute. A brace of goals scored by Matthew McMenemy on the 23rd and 30th minutes saw Killymoon back in front. Oliver Millar got a goal back for the rec on the 44th minute before Matthe McMenemy completed his hat-trick and sealed the win for Killymoon on the 59th minute.

NORTH BALLYMENA RGS 1 - 9 GREENISLAND DEV

The Rangers went in front after Darren Cummings scored on the 2nd minute. After this it was a procession of goals scored by Reece Black 9th, 37th and 39th, Mark McKeown 20th, Matthew Sinclair 22nd, Jack Curran 32nd and 55th, David Tumilty 44th and Adam Flanagen 81st for the Islanders without reply.

The first goal in the game was scored by Michael Gallagher on the 34th minute. More goals followed scored by Darren Gallagher 38th and 45th, John Devenney 61st, 72nd and 77th, Michael Gallagher 65th and 80th and Ryan Steele 93rd without reply.

BALLYCLARE NORTH END 3 - 6 (aet) AHOGHILL THISTLE DEV

North End went in front after Graham McFarlane scored on the 16th minute and then doubled their advantage when Dylan Forsythe scored on the 69th minute. Then Thistle got back on level terms when James Warwick scored a brace of goals on the 86th and 91st minutes taking the game to extra-time. North End had a man sent off on the 96th minute and Thistle capitalised on this scoring four goals through William Barr, Evan Johnston, and a brace from James Warwick.

Canada Trophy 2nd Round

BALLYNURE OB B 2 - 3 DESERTMARTIN SWIFTS

The Swifts were in front after Issac Nelson scored on the 1st minute. Ballynure were back level after Kyle Abernethy converted a penalty on the 15th minute. The Swifts went ahead again with a penalty converted by Matthew Scott on the 19th minute and extended their lead when Matthew Thom scored on the 32nd minute. The Old Boys got a second goal on the 73rd minute but could not get the equaliser.

BELFAST ATHLETIC 4 - 3 BELFAST CELTIC RES

The Athletic went Two goals clear scored by Harry Bassett 2nd and Sean Burns 23rd minutes. Celtic came back to level the game with a brace of goals scored by Jonathan Gowdy on the 31st and 42nd minutes. The Athletic went two goals clear again with goals scored by Dave Finlay 67th and an OG on the 77th minutes. Celtic hit back with Corey Logans coring on the 83rd minute but it was Athletics day.

Linda Welshman Memorial Cup 1st Round

St JAMES SWIFTS Res 5 - 1 RATHCOOLE RESERVES

Rathcoole went in front after David Moore scored on the 18th minute then Caoinhin Norney equalised on the 20th minute. The Swifts went on to score four more goals through Eugena Gallagher 29th, Paul Moore 56th, Callum Muckian 83rd and Mohammed Alhanon 95th minutes.
