The Fourth Cup Final of the season was played on Friday evening at Allen Park Antrim and the League are extremely thankful to Andy Campbell and his team at Chimney Corner for the excellent facilities.

The last final of the season the O’Gorman Cup is as listed below:

Dunloy v Ballynure OB

Date Tuesday 31st May 2022

Venue Allen Park Antrim

Kick off 7.00pm

Final will be played to a finish with two ten minutes extra-time and penalties if required.

INTERMEDIATE

CRAWFORD CUP SEMI-FINALS

COAGH UNITED 6 - 0 CHIMNEY CORNER

Coagh were early on the goal trail with Zach Ferson scoring on the 2nd minute followed by an own goal conceded by the Corner on the 4th minute. Aaron Campbell added goal number three on the 19th minute followed by Zach Ferson making if four nil on the 26th minute. No more goals were scored until Zach Ferson completed his hat trick on the 77th minute and Aaron Campbell completed the scoring on the 85th minute.

BALLYMONEY UNITED 0 - 2 DUNLOY

There was little to choose between the teams until Neil McNicholl scored putting Dunloy in front on the 41st minute. This goal separated the teams at half-time then Ballymoney had a man sent off on the 69th minute. Play continued with the single goal separating the Teams until Michael O’Mullan converted a penalty for Dunloy on the 89th minute.

CRAWFORD CUP FINAL

COAGH UNITED 2 - 3 DUNLOY (After Extra Time)

With the pitch at Chimney Corner in excellent condition it allowed both teams to play good open football but though both had chances no goals were scored at half-time. Things changed early in the second half after Aaron Campbell converted a penalty for Coagh on the 56th minute putting them in front. Dunloy came back with the equaliser after Michael O’Mullan scored on the 69th minute which resulted with no more goals the game went into extra-time. Dunloy went on front after Niall Johnston scored on the 94th minute then went two goals ahead after Martin Kane scored on the 97th minute. Coagh got back into the game after Aaron Campbell scored on the 108th minute which caused Dunloy a couple of anxious minutes until the final whistle.

After the game, the league Chairman Ian Shiels presented the Cup to the Dunloy Captain Jamie McFerran

O’GORMAN CUP SEMI-FINAL

WAKEHURST 2 - 4 BALLYNURE OB (After Extra Time)

Ballynure went in front after Isiah Close scored on the 14th minute and this goal separated the teams until Jason Paul scored for Wakehurst on the 57th minute. No more goals were scored until Andrew Laughlin put Wakehurst ahead on the 86th minute then Mark Lecky equalised for Ballynure on the 88th minute taking the game into extra-time. An own goal conceded by Wakehurst saw Ballynure ahead on the 93rd minute followed by a fourth goal scored by Cameron McAuley on the 99th minute securing Ballynure place in the Final.
