Timely progress was maintained on the playing front on Saturday and hopefully the pleasant weather will continue.
The proposed mid-week games for Wednesday 6th April 2022 have been put on hold to ascertain what natural light is available with games kicking off at 6.45 pm.
Teams please note: The Next Bi-Monthly League meeting will be held in the Chimney Corner Social Club on Monday 11th April 2022.

O’GORMAN CUP 1st ROUND
COAGH UNITED 2 - 3 GLEBE RANGERS
Coagh went in front after Aaron Campbell converted a penalty on the 8th minute. This goal separated the teams until Harry Kirkpatrick scored for Glebe on the 37th minute. Glebe went in front thanks to a goal scored by Luke Mitchell on the 44th minute then Glebe conceded an own goal on the 45th minute. Both teams kept it very tight after this with the deciding goal being scored by Luke Mitchell on the 71st minute that saw Glebe take the win.

BRANTWOOD 0 - 2 COOKSTOWN YOUTH
The Youth were early on the attack and went in front after Lee Glasgow scored on the 18th minute and at the break this goal still separated the teams. The second half saw Brantwood push for the equaliser, but the Youth held firm and sealed the win after Stephen Arrell scored on the 85th minute.

DESERTMARTIN 3 - 2 BALLYNURE OB
Ballynure went in front after Cameron McAuley scored on the 9th minute and this goal separated the teams until Craig Briers put Ballynure two goals ahead on the 59th minute. The Martins got a goal back after Jordan Hassan scored on the 60th minute this was followed by Ballynure having a man sent off on the 75th minute. The Martins with the extra man went on to win with goals scored by Stefan Shiels and Zach McKenna on the 87th and 90th minutes.

St JAMES SWIFTS 1 - 0 (aet) DONEGAL CELTIC
This game saw both teams play lots of good football only their finishing was not up to scratch with no goals being scored during the ninety minutes of normal time. Extra-time was played with the deciding goal being scored by Ciaran Hylands for the Swifts on the 105th minute.

McREYNOLDS CUP 1st ROUND
BALLYMONEY UNITED 4 - 3 WAKEHURST
There were plenty of goals in this game which saw Wakehurst go in front after Jason Paul converted a penalty on the 6th minute followed by Andrew Laughlin putting Wakehurst two up on the 27th minute. Ballymoney hit back with Jay Hamilton scoring on the 37th minute followed by a brace of goals scored by Gerald Gillan on the 42nd and 65th minutes. Ballymoney increased their lead after Josh McGreevey scored on the 70th minute then Wakehurst got a third goal a penalty converted by Jason Paul on the 78th minute but Ballymoney held on for the win and had a man sent off on the 84th minute.

NORTH BELFAST UNITED 5 - 2 BRANTWOOD RESERVES
The United took a two-goal lead through goals scored by Mark Davey and Brooklyn Duncan on the 3rd and 6th minutes. Brantwood pulled a goal back after Clark Leighton scored on the 12th minute. Brooklyn Duncan scored
his second goal in the game on the 16th minute followed by Mark Davey converting a penalty on the 38th minute putting United three goals clear. Wayne Porter scored for Brantwood on the 86th minute only to see Aidan Larkin score goal number five for the United on the 93rd minute.

RATHCOOLE RESERVES 0 - 0 BALLYCLARE NORTH END
No goals were scored in this game which ended with North End having four players sent off on the 91st minute and an alleged official also reported for alleged comments directed at the referee after the game.

NEWINGTON RANGERS 1 - 3 LOUGHSIDE
After a steady start by both teams Loughside went I front after Jordan Carruthers scored on the 42nd minute this score remaining at half-time. Loughside went two goals in front after Samuel Dykes scored on the 57th minute before Lee Magill scored for the Rangers on the 60th minute. Loughside then sealed the win when Jonathan Dickson scored their third goal on the 67th minute.

CANADA TROPHY 3rd ROUND
AHOGHILL THISTLE DEV 1 - 3 KILLYMOON RANGERS
The Rangers went in front after Richard Donaghy scored on the 33rd minute then as half-time beckoned David Drummond equalised for the Thistle on the 42nd minute. The second half saw little between the teams until two goals scored by Cameron McMullan and Shane Devlin on the 71st and 77th minutes took the Rangers into the next round.

GREENCASTLE ROVERS 2 - 1 RATHCOOLE
This was a close game throughout the Ninety minutes as both teams went for the win. The Rovers went in front after Oran Johnston scored on the 9th minute and were still in front when Rathcoole had a an sent off on the 35th minute. Half-time saw the single goal divide the teams then on the 73rd minute Jackson Griffith equalised for Rathcoole. It was anyone’s game after this until the 82d minute when Christopher Begley scored what proved to be the winning goal for the RoverS.

COOKSTOWN OLYMIC 1 - 2 BELFAST ATHLETIC
Though both teams created a few chances no goals were scored at half-time. Things changed in the second half with Martin Begley scoring for the Athletic on the 57th minute followed by Anthony Stuart scoring a second goal for the Athletic on the 60th minute. The Olympic hit back with Oisin Macnia scoring on the 72nd minute but try as they did could not get the equaliser and had a man sent off on the 96th minute.
