With the weather still being kind all scheduled games were played on Saturday with a number of
teams progressing in the Cup competitions.
Belfast Athletic and Greenisland III are through to the semi-finals of the Linda Welshman Memorial Cup when they meet each other. In the other semi-final Ahoghill Thistle Development will meet the winners of Ballyclare North End and Desertmartin Swifts.
In the Canada Trophy Greencastle Rovers semi-finals Greencastle Rovers meet Belfast Athletic while Killymoon Rangers will meet either Brantwood Reserves or Greenisland III
Teams please note: The Next Bi-Monthly League meeting will be held in the Chimney Corner Social Club on Monday 11th April 2022.

INTERMEDIATE
LEAGUE GAMES
DESERTMARTIN 0 - 3 BELFAST CELTIC
In a close contested first forty-five minutes Celtic went in at the break leading by a goal scored by Eamon Hanna on the 42nd minute. Celtic then doubled their lead after Eamon Hanna scored his second goal on the 66th minute. Play was then almost over when Sean Hawkins scored a third goal for Celtic on the 90th minute.

St JAMES SWIFTS 4 - 0 WAKEHURST
St James went in front after Sean Donnelly scored on the 11th minute then made it two nil after Ciaran Hyland scored on the 23rd minute. Half-time was almost reached when Eugene Gallagher scored a third goal for St James on the 44th minute. St James wrapped up the win after Ciaran Hyland scored his second goal on the 55th minute.

COAGH UNITED 2 - 3 GLEBE RANGERS
Glebe went in front after Harry Kirkpatrick scored on the 21st minute followed by Joshua Elliott making if two nil on the 22nd minute. Half-time saw the score remain at 2-0 then on the 76th minute Jack Wilson scored for Coagh followed by Aaron Campbell converting a penalty to tie up the score on the 84th minute. Glebe than got the important fifth goal in the game when scored on the 86th minute.

BRANTWOOD 1 - 0 DONEGAL CELTIC
The funny thing was both teams had a chance or two to score during the first ninety minutes, but none were taken including a missed penalty by Brantwood. As it turned out Brantwood won after Colin Watters scored on the 94th minute to end the game that both teams had a man sent off Brantwood on the 86th minute and Celtic on the 82nd minute. Brantwood also had their coach sent off on the 52nd minute.

O’GORMAN CUP 2nd ROUND
COOKSTOWN YOUTH 4 - 3(aet) BALLYMONEY UNITED
Ballymoney went in front after Gerard Gillen scored on the 31st minute and this goal separated the teams at half-time. Paul Stewart equalised for the Youth on the 71st minute but a minute later on the 72nd minute Like Taylor scored for Ballymoney. The Youth got back level after Adam Keane converted a penalty on the 83rd minute followed by Ballymoney having a man sent off on the 90th minute. Extra-time was played with the Youth going two goals clear scored by Steven Arrell on the 93rd minute and Paul Stewart on the 109th minute. Ballymoney got a goal back after Jay Hamilton scored on the 110th minute but by then the game had gone.

CRAWFORD CUP 3rd ROUND
DUNLOY 3 - 0 BALLYNURE OB
This game was closer than the score suggests as two of the goals were scored in stoppage time. Dunloy went in front after Caolan Gillen scored on the 43rd minute and this goal separated tee team until Karl Fitzpatrick converted a penalty for Dunloy on the 91st minute. Ballynure had to time to get back into the game when Dunloy broke clear with Karl Fitzpatrick scoring his second goal on the 93rd minute.

COOKSTOWN OLYMPIC 6 - 1 WOODLANDS
The Olympic went in at half-time leading by goals scored by Connor Donnelly 10th, Aidan Doyle 37th, Tiernan Brennan 40th and Barry Potter 44th minutes. Aidan Doyle made it five nil from the penalty spot on the 54th minute. As time was running down Simon Scott scored for Woodlands on the 80th minute then Connor Donnelly completed the scoring on the 86th minute. Referee Mr Paul Moore

RATHCOOLE RESERVES 5 - 3 AHOGHILL THISTLE DEVELOPMENT
Rathcoole went in front after Aaron Lindsay scored on the 19th minute then went four goals clear after James Spenser scored a hat-trick of goals on the 27th, 43rd and 47th minutes. The Thistle got a goal back after Joshua Balmer cored on the 62nd minute before Ryan Wright scored a fifth goal for Rathcoole on the 88th minute. The Thistle never gave up getting two goals an own goal on the 90th minute and Robbie McCaughey scoring on the 93rd minute.

RED STAR 1 - 0 NEWINGTON RANGERS
This was a closely contested game which was won by a single goal scored by Philip Orr for the Star on the 71st minute. Referee Mr Jamie Mairs

LINDA WELSHMAN MEMORIAL CUP 2nd ROUND
2nd LEG
3rd BALLYCLARE OB 2 - 1 BELFAST ATHLETIC
The Old Boys went in front after Michael Warwick cored on the 6th minute then added a second goal on the 54th minute scored by Joel O’Neil putting them in front on aggregate score. The Athletic got back on level terms after Oran Johnston scored on the 65th minute resulting in penalties being taken to decide the aggregate winners with the Athletic winning 5-4 on penalties.

GREENCASTLE ROVERS II 1 - 3 GREENISLAND III
The Teams started off on level aggregate score in this 2nd leg tie. Greenisland went in front after Aaron Richards scored on the 10th minute then Sean Derry equalised for the Rovers on the 12th minute. Greenisland went in front for a second time when Aaron Richards scored his second goal on the 38th minute this being followed by Matthew Sinclair scoring on the 57th minute securing the win for Greenisland.
