GENERAL LEAGUE ANNOUNCEMENT

The New Season will kick off on Saturday 5th August 2023 with the 1st Round of the Steel & Sons Cup being played which will involve Three of our teams.

Two Intermediate league games will be played on this date as well.

There are changes that will take place this season:

Intermediate Teams are split into two groups A and B and with each team playing 16 league games.

When all the teams have played 16 games the Top Two teams will play in a round robin home and away.

Top team in group A will play the second team in group B and the winners of group B playing the second team in group A. The winners of the two groups will then play a one off final to decide the overall winner of the Intermediate section.

When all games have been played the Top Five teams in each group will form Divisions One for Season 2024-25 and the bottom Four teams in each group will form Division Two for the 2024-25 season.

New members joining the league from 2024 onwards will join in Division Two.

Junior Teams are split into two Divisions where promotion and relegation will take place at the end of the season.

The registering players in all categories will change as follows:

A professional player cannot participate within the league.

Teams can register players up to and Including March 31st 2024

Transfer of players from outside the league can take place up to and including March 31st 2024.

Internal transfers between member clubs can only take place within two windows as follows:
From 1st June to the Friday before the Third Saturday in August and from 20th December to the 31st January in each season.
The maximum transfers between two member clubs, must not exceed two in any one season.
