What a week does to the weather as we got all games planned played on Saturday with one game off due to a Funeral.

A full League programme is planned for the 4th February 2023 and this will be followed by a couple of weeks with Cup Ties being played.

INTERMEDIATE

LEAGUE

COOKSTOWN YOUTH 1 - 5 St JAMES SWIFTS

Goals scored by John Savage 2nd minute and Eugene Gallagher 14th minute saw the Swifts leading, and the Swifts down to Ten men after having a man sent off on the 11th minute. Alexandre Machedo converted a penalty for the Youth on the 43rd minute. Three more goals scored by Thomas Logan 53rd, Eugene Gallagher 74th and John Savage 84th minutes secured the win for St James.

WELLINGTON REC 2 - 3 COAGH UINITED

Coagh went in front after Jack Wilson scored on the 23rd minute then Aaron Campbell added a second goal on the 69th minute. The Rec got back in the game after Curtis Crawford scored on the 73rd minute and were back level after Kieron O’Boyle scored on the 89th minute. Time was almost up when Zach Ferson scored the winning goal for Coagh on the 93rd minute.

BELFAST CELTIC 7 - 1 DESERTMARTIN

Goals scored by Eamon Kelly 7th and 34th, Shane McKernan 13th, 39th and 41st, Sean Hawkins 22nd minutes saw Celtic Six goals clear at half-time. Denver Taggart made it Seven nil on the 47th minute before Craig O’Kane got a goal back for the Martins on the 65th minute.

BRANTWOOD 0 - 1 DUNLOY

Both teams had several chances to score during the game but at the final whistle it was a goal scored by Kyle Robinson on the 66th minute that won the points for Dunloy.

BALLYMONEY UNITED 5 - 1 BALLYNURE OB

Ballymoney took a Four goals lead with goals scored by Chandler Douglas 7th, Lewis Magee 23rd, Trevor Parkhill 62nd, and Thomas Armstrong 72nd minutes. Ballynure go a goal back after David McCullough scored on the 80th minute before Gavin McToal scored number five for the Toon on the 87th minute.

IFA INTERMEDIATE CUP 3rd ROUND

DONEGAL CELTIC 5 - 0 CHIMNEY CORNER

Celtic went in front after James Mullan scored on the 9th minute then a brace of goals scored by Francis Dugan on the 17th and 23rd minutes put them three goals clear. The Corner then had a man sent off on the 63rd minute this being followed by two more goals scored by Sean Morelli 77th and Conal Delaney on the 90th minutes.

NEWTOWNE 0 0(aet) WAKEHURST

After a scoreless game Newtowne won the penalty kick shoot-out 4-2

Div One

COOKSTOWN OLYMPIC 1 - 2 GREENCASTLE ROVERS

The castle went in front after Daniel McLarnon converted a penalty on the 45th minute then the Olympic had a man sent off on the 47th minute. The Olympic had a second man sent off on the 88th minute before Ryan McClory scored a second goal for the Castle on the 91st minute. The Olympic got a goal back after Conor Donnelly scored on the 93rd minute then the Castle had a man sent off on the 95th minute.

WOODLANDS 1 - 0 St JAMES SWIFTS RES

The number of chances created by both teams by far outstripped the goals scored in the game. A goal scored by Samuel Chambers on the 13th minute deciding the result I favour of Woodlands. Referee Mr Paul Cairns

BELFAST ATHLETC 3 - 3 KILLYMOON RANGERS

Killymoon took a two goal lead with goals scored on the 10th minute by Luke Patterson 10th minute and an own goal on the 17th minute. The Athletic hit back with Sean Burns completing a hat trick with goals scored on the 23rd, 56th and 64th minutes. Time was almost up when Jason Park scored the equaliser on the 92nd minute.

ANTRIM ROVERS 0 - 5 RATHCOOLE

Rathcoole went in at half-time leading by goals scored by Kai Hefferson on the 18th and 22nd minutes. David Moore added a third goal on the 64th minute followed by two more goals scored by Aaron McCarey 72nd and David Moore 93rd minutes.

GREENCASTLE ROVERS II 5 - 2 BALLYCLARE NORTH END

Greencastle went two goals in front when Mark Tutin converted a penalty on the 10th minute followed by Aodhan Moloney scoring on the 12th minute. North End got back in the game with Robert Watson scoring a brace of goals on the 13th and 63rd minutes. Greencastle scored three more goals through Mark Tutin 73rd, Sean Derry 75th and Niall McWilliams 93rd minute. One big black mark in the game was when both teams had a man sent off on the 78th minute.

RATHCOOLE RESERVES 2 - 1 LOUGHSIDE

I this local derby game Rathcoole went in front after Taylor Marks scored on the 16th minute then doubled their lead after Joel Gower scored on the 44th minute. Loughside got back into the game after Leon Smiley scored on the 60th minute but Rathcoole who held on for the win.

3rd BALLYCLARE OB 4 - 2 RED STAR

The Old Boys went ahead with two goals scored by Joel O’Neil on the 9th and 25th minutes. Red Star got back into the game after Andrew McDonagh scored on the 44th minute and were back level after Lloyd Watters scored on the 49th minute. The Old Boys went back in front after Jack Adams scored on the 58th minute and sealed the win with his second goal scored on the 89th minute.

SOFIA FARMER 3 6 GRANGE RANGERS

The Grange went in front after David Hamilton scored on the 10th minute then got a second goal scored by Paul Martin on the 24th minute. Sofia got back on level terms after Leondro Vaz scored on the 39th minute and Leonel Mendes on the 44th minute. Grange went ahead again with goals scored by David Hamilton 49th, Paul Martin 57th and David Hamilton 62nd minutes. Leondra Vaz got a goal back for Sofia on the 79th minute followed by Craig Moore scoring a sixth goal for Grange on the 87th minute. Referee Mr Brian Leitch

NORTH BELFAST UNITED 4 1 WELLINGTON REC II

The North went in front after Brooklyn Duncan scored on the 3rd minute then Devon Crawford equalised for the Rec on the 7th minute. North went back in front after Dylan Lemahieu scored on the 21st minute followed by two more goals scored by Brooklyn Duncan 35th minute and Joe Rankin 46th minute. The Rec had a an sent off on the 47th minute and no more goals were scored. Referee Mr Colin Rainey

NEWINGTON RANGERS 3 - 1 ANTRIM ROVERS RES

Two goals scored by Gareth Hastings on the 3rd and 21st minute saw the Rangers two goals ahead. The Rovers got a goal back after David Johnston scored on the 22nd minute then a third goal to complete his hat-trick by Gareth Hastings on the 48th minute sealed the win for the Rangers.
